The Orisa Community Development Corporation
Requests Your Presence at a
Community Anya Egun Bembe
Honoring Our Spiritual and National Ancestors

In Yorùbáland, every town or city has one or more Egungun masquerades. For the Lucumi, our tradition of Egun Bembe is usually for an individual to pay homage to his Orisa and/or family lineage, or for a house of Orisa to pay homage to its Ocha lineage. As members of the Orisa CDC share the bonds of a community of Orisa Worshippers, we will honor the Egun of both esteemed Olorisa and national heroes such as Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman and others.
