The Orisa CDC intends to provide programs to strengthen already existing Orisa-centric entities such as Orisa Houses, Egbes, etc. The organization will serve as a researcher and innovator in the community, seeking to understand current barriers to success and offer new ideas to build stability and capacity. The organization intends to offer forums, conduct research, and provide direction and support to Orisa Community projects.
Community & Leadership Development Technical Assistance Program:
The Orisa CDC will provide one-on-one technical assistance and workshops for organizations, collectives and other entities that will enable them to lead and build capacity. Workshops may include budgeting, improving and using technology, understanding financial statements, writing business plans, marketing, human resources, and evaluation.
In future, we hope to create initiatives such as:
- Development of a community census
- Training and professional development activities in specialized areas
