Friday, May 24, 7 PM – 9 PM: Conference attendees arrive and Welcome Reception (location to be determined)
Saturday, May 25, 8 AM – 5PM – Sango Gunmi Orisa Community Conference – Facilitated and documented group discussions on pre-selected topics on the issues facing the Orisa community. The long term intent of this annual conference is to, in a democratic fashion, support the community in reaching consensus / making resolutions relative to pressing issues that face the Orisa community.
The hopes are this conference will start the march towards the formation of regional, national and, eventually, international structured Orisa communities whose common bond, which would unite it, is a ratified vision statement and community covenant that espouses our shared values. The above would inform the development of a social agenda that would enable our community to convert aspiration into plan and plan into reality!
Saturday, May 25, 7PM – 9PM – Conference social and dinner at Black-owned restaurant featuring finger food and opportunity for attendees to buy their own drinks and dinner (location to be determined)
Sunday, May 26, 2PM – 6PM – Anya to Aganju, Celebrating the 45th Orisa Anniversary of Baba Joe Quinones
The conference on Saturday and the Anya on Sunday will be located at Community Partnership School, 3033 W. Glenwood Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19121.
Conference price includes lunch, light snacks, a swag bag, and finger food at the post-conference social.
