The Community Organizing Committee functions as the Orisa CDC’s official liaison with other Orisa entities and is Orisa CDC’s primary catalyst for capacity building and political organizing. The committee will create and maintain partnerships with other Orisa entities necessary for broader community consensus building, maintaining community synergy, and adherence of community governance systems – all in alignment with the social model and strategic plans developed by the Orisa CDC board.  This committee is the primary facilitator in getting buy-in and support for Orisa CDC’s strategic plan/social model for the community.

In the long term, the Committee would liaise with Orisa communities outside of our direct region (Philly/DMV/NYC) to help form other “chapters” of the Orisa CDC network and work with those chapters to ensure uniformity of structure, mission and overarching social agenda/initiatives.
